Ordean Foundation

In 2023, the Ordean Foundation in Duluth celebrated 90 years of giving back to the community. Director Don Ness asked me to create several videos for the event, including historical interviews, project spotlights, biographies of past employees, and this fun animated story about founder Albert Ordean. Written by Mike Scholtz, animated by me. Also fun was creating an animated version of friend and local historian Tony Dierckins of Zenith City Press. A few stills from the video are below.

The anniversary event was a huge success, and included a performance by Charlie Parr.

We created several videos to be shown during the anniversary event. The foundation works in mostly very low-profile ways, so many people don’t know the story behind it. This video helps to tell that story.

Joe Everett worked with Ordean for 33 years, and retired during the pandemic. We created a belated thank you for his service to the community.
