Award winning architect David Salmela teamed up with Loll Designs to create a collection of beautifully simple outdoor furniture. This was a really fun project to work on, documenting a really cool product designed and produced right here in Duluth.

This is a music video created for the 2013 Duluth Homegrown Music Video Festival. Filmmakers are assigned a random band and song and they make a video. Check out Duluth News Tribune Arts writer Christa Lawler’s very generous summary of the screening. You can view more of the videos at Perfect Duluth Day.

An introduction for a presentation. This design is based on an existing brochure and print campaign.

4-Track Films here in Duluth will have a special sneak-peek at their new movie, The Life of Riley. I did the DVD and poster design, and got to do some title animation for the actual movie.
Our band Tangier 57 also has a song in the movie. The local music in this is really impressive. I saw a rough cut and the music combined with the images is really powerful in places.
Other bands + musicians featured are Low, the Black-eyed Snakes, Charlie Parr, Haley Bonar, Mary Bue, the Alrights, the Very People, Cars & Trucks, the Keep Aways, Kathy McTavish, Crew Jones, Equal Xchange and Martin Zellar.

Before you lollygag on your new Loll furniture, you have to put it together. A video I did with basic assembly tips.

Here’s a piece of animation/live action shooting/greenscreen/motion graphics for Loll Designs here in Duluth. They make super-swanky, durable patio furniture out of recycled plastic milk jugs and stuff like that. You really just put this stuff together, set it outside and forget about it. This maintenance video is now on all of their product pages.
